COIM spa will increase polyester polyols manufacturing capacity

OFFANENGO, ITALY: COIM spa, global polyurethane chemicals producer, will break ground to expand its European polyester polyols manufacturing capacity in Offanengo, Italy. The investment is expected to be completed by September 2015 and will increase the capacity of aliphatic and aromatic polyester polyols by 35,000 metric tonne. Financial details are not disclosed.

“The growing demand of COIM’s aliphatic and aromatic polyester polyols will soon saturate the actual polyester polyols capacity. This decision demonstrates COIM’s commitment to the European rigid foam insulation market, CASE, footwear applications as well as captive use,” said Lucio Siano, CEO, COIM.
