MUMBAI, INDIA: Connell Brothers (CBC), a division of Wilbur-Ellis Company said it is continuing its expansion plans in Asia-Pacific with acquisition of personal & health care ingredients distribution business of Mascot Universal Pvt Ltd in India.
Mumbai, India-headquartered, Mascot Universal has offices in Delhi and Bangalore, as well as warehousing facilities, personal care labs and a pilot plant, which are all part of the acquisition.
Also, India is a strategic market for CBC due to the growth that is being driven by rising per capita income and rapid urbanization. As a result of this, the personal, home and health care industry has shown rapid growth.
Mohit Lalvani, founder and managing director of Mascot Universal, and his team, will join CBC and lead the newly named Mascot personal and health care business unit, under Connell Bros Company (India) Pvt Ltd.
“Mascot Universal places an emphasis on marketing excellence and technical competency, making the company a strategic fit for CBC growth plans. By combining our expertise and resources we can create even greater value for our customers in the Indian personal care and health care markets,” said Tejas Parekh, general manager, CBC India.
