ATLANTA, US: In response to the strong global demand for specialty biogums products, CP Kelco US Inc said it plans to invest in building three biogums product lines – gellan gum, specialty xanthan gum and diutan gum.
A leading producer of hydrocolloid solutions, CP Kelco will expand capacity for gellan gum beyond its existing San Diego, California plant with an additional production line capability in the company’s Okmulgee, Oklahoma facility. It will develop new capabilities for specialty xanthan gum production in the company’s Wulian, China facility and explore options for further expansion of biogums manufacturing footprint, it said.
“As regulatory requirements related to our products increase, CP Kelco will continually invest in operational and innovative developments to help ensure we can meet or exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Don Rubright, president, CP Kelco.
