MIDLAND, US: Chinese firm Shanxi Coking Co Ltd, has signed a license agreement for UNIPOL Polypropylene (PP) Process Technology with Union Carbide Chemicals & Plastics Technology LLC, a wholly owned Subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company. The plant with 400 kilo tonne per annum capacity is expected to start production from 2015. The plant will be located in Hongdong City in the Shanxi Province, China.
With the least complex PP process technologies available and low investment costs, Dow’s UNIPOL PP Process Technology positions polypropylene manufacturers to meet and exceed increasing demand for high quality polypropylene.
