DSM to increase prices for high performance plastics

SINGAPORE: Royal DSM NV it will increase prices globally for several polyamides and thermoplastic polyester products, effective 1 April. The price increase is significant due to continuing cost increases of main raw materials throughout 2017 and early 2018.

The price increases are as follows:

  • Akulon polyamide (nylon) 6 and 66 products will increase by the equivalent of €175 per metric ton
  • Arnite polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) products will increase by the equivalent of €175 per metric ton
  • Stanyl polyamide 46 products will increase by the equivalent of €350 per metric ton
  • Arnitel co-polyester elastomer (COPE) products will increase by the equivalent of €225 per metric ton.
