Enthusiastic students attend Edinburgh International Science Festival 2013

Edinburgh International Science Festival

BANGALORE, INDIA: The 26th Edinburgh International Science Festival (EISF) was held in Bangalore, India for 10 days from August 30 to 8 September 2013. The festival had 15 interactive workshops, live shows and exhibitions and experience zones for every age group in the field of health, solar-power, astronomy, mathematics and chemistry among others were organised.

The 10 day long festival had a splendid affair to make Science fun, exciting and engaging for young minds. “This festival is the first step of our plans to present our works and bring it to a nation that is currently making incredible advances in science and technology. British Council and the Scottish Government too have played an important role in bringing the festival to India,” said Simon Gage, Director and CEO, EISF.

The Festival had something for every age group, children and grown-ups alike. The students got to work with real surgical instruments, polymers, got tips on mental calculations, basic computer software programming and much more.
