Evonik awards new plant contract to WorleyParsons in China

Evonik awards new plant contract to WorleyParsons in China

ESSEN, GERMANY/ SHANGHAI, CHINA: Evonik Industries has awarded WorleyParsons a contract for the detail engineering, procurement support and construction management on the building of world scale plants for the production of isophorone and isophorone diamine. The plants will be located in Shanghai, China, with a total capacity of 50 kilo tonne per annum. Production is scheduled to start from first quarter of 2014.

“We are going to extend our global production network in Asia, which is only possible with a world-wide acting partner. For the successful implementation within our ambitious timeline we found the right partner in WorleyParsons,” said Dr Udo Kowalczik, Head of Production and Technology, Evonik’s Coatings & Additives Business Unit.
