IRVING, US: Fluor Corporation (FLR) has been awarded a base operating support services contract by US Navy.
The award is an eight-year cost-plus-award-fee contract to include the base period, four option periods, three award option periods and a six-month services extension valued at approximately $495 million.
The contract was awarded through the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Fluor will provide comprehensive support services in various locations on the island including management and administration, port operations, ordnance, material and facility management, facility investment and general base support.
“In addition to the work Fluor performs supporting the US military in Africa, the Americas and Afghanistan, our company has a long history in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Tom D’Agostino, president of Fluor’s Government Group.
“We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with the US Navy by working with the local community in Guam and assisting a critical national security mission that protects the nation and those who serve,” said D’Agostino.
