FMC elects Statoil's executive VP to its board of directors

PHILADELPHIA, US: FMC Corporation has elected Statoil's executive vice president (VP) Margareth Ovrum to the company's board of directors, effective immediately.  Her election increases the board's size to 11 members.

During her 34 years at Statoil, Ovrum has held numerous senior leadership positions, including executive VP of technology and new energy, health and safety, senior VP of operations – Veslefrikk field, Norwegian continental shelf and platform manager for Gullfaks field. She is currently executive VP of technology, projects & drilling for Statoil Group. Ovrum is a member of the board of directors of Atlas Copco AB and Alfa Laval AB. 

“She brings to our board a strong operations background with deep experience in process technology, safety, sustainability and environmental management.  Margareth has a wide international view with exceptional knowledge of European markets. Our board looks forward to her contributions,” said Pierre Brondeau, president, CEO and chairman of FMC.
