Foster Wheeler bags Hyundai contract in Vietnam


ZUG, SWITZERLAND: Foster Wheeler AG announced that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group has been awarded a contract by Hyundai Engineering and Construction for the design and supply of 4 x 250 MWe (megawatt electric) circulating fluidized-bed steam generators for the Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant for Vietnam Electricity, the owner and developer of the project.

“We at Foster Wheeler are proud to again have been selected to play a role in providing reliable power to meet Vietnam’s ever expanding electricity needs,” said Gary Nedelka, Chief Executive Officer, Foster Wheeler Global Power Group. Foster Wheeler has received a full notice to proceed on this contract. Commercial operation of the new steam generators is scheduled to begin in second quarter of 2015.
