IMCD acquires 100 per cent stake in Chemimpo South Africa

ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS: IMCD Group, a leading speciality chemicals and food ingredients company, has successfully acquired 100 per cent of the shares of Chemimpo South Africa (Pty) Ltd, through its subsidiary IMCD South Africa. Integration of the two companies in South Africa will take place through the course of 2013 and will establish IMCD South Africa as the leading speciality chemical company in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Otto Brinkmann, Managing Director, Chemimpo will head up the combined operation. Headquartered in Johannesburg, Chemimpo South Africa (Pty) Ltd also has branches in CapeTown and Durban together with warehousing facilities in all three major centres as well as Port Elizabeth and East London.
