Invista Wins PolyShield Resin Patent Against M&G

WILMINGTON, US: The United States District Court for the District of Delaware recently found as a matter of law that two members of the Mossi & Ghisolfi Group, M&G Polymers USA and M&G USA Corporation (M&G), infringed all asserted claims of Invista’s PolyShield resin patent. In July, a jury in the same Court also found the asserted claims to be valid. Invista will continue to seek to enforce its PolyShield resin patent through ongoing appellate and lower court proceedings in Germany and Italy.

“We are pleased with the Court’s and jury’s decisions that M&G’s PoliProtect APB and JB resin infringed upon Invista’s PolyShield resin patent and that the patent is valid. We look forward to moving ahead with our business and creating value for our customers around the world,” said Bob Francois, President, Specialty Materials, Invista.
