Jacobs bags NatureWorks’ ingeo plant contract in Southeast Asia

Jacobs Engineering Group awarded with Ingeo bioplymer production plant contract by NatureWorks

PASADENA, US: Jacobs Engineering Group Inc has been selected to provide engineering services for new Ingeo bioplymer production plant of NatureWorks (joint venture company between PTT Global and Cargill) in Southeast Asia. The contract value was not disclosed. It is expected that Jacobs will execute the project from its Greenville, South Carolina, US office. Jacobs is providing front-end engineering design work, including major equipment design.

“Jacobs has extensive experience in polymer and chemical plant design and construction. This contract is the next stage of what we anticipate will be a three-year project to include detailed engineering design, procurement, construction, and plant start-up,” said Steve Bray, Director, Manufacturing and Engineering, NatureWorks.
