Jacobs bags Tronox’s aluminum chloride generator contract in Australia

PASADENA, US: Jacobs Engineering Group Inc was awarded a contract from Tronox Limited to perform early stage engineering for an aluminum chloride generator at its pigment plant in Kwinana, Western Australia. The contract value was not disclosed.

Based on the study being performed on various generator technologies being evaluated for the facility, Jacobs will select the technology for the three Tronox pigment sites including Kwinana; Hamilton, Mississippi US; and Botlek, Netherlands.

“We are delighted to support Tronox’s project objectives through this study. We look forward to integrating our strong local capabilities in the region with our global experience and the work we have previously done with Tronox at their Hamilton, Mississippi facility,” said Tom Quinn, Vice President, Jacobs Group.
