COLOGNE, GERMANY/GELEEN, THE NETHERLANDS/SHANGHAI, CHINA: Lanxess is progressing the construction of its world-scale ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) plant in Changzhou, China. The German specialty chemicals company is investing €235 million in the plant - the largest investment the company has made in China to date. The plant will have a capacity of 160,000 metric tonne per year and the investment will create up to 200 new jobs. The construction is expected to be completed by end of 2014. Lanxess will use Keltan ACE technology to enable sustainable production at its new plant.
