Linde to build carbon dioxide plant in Rayong, Thailand

BANGKOK, THAILAND: Linde Thailand Public Company Limited, a member of The Linde Group, will invest about Bt500 million (€12 million) to install a new merchant carbon dioxide plant in Map Ta Phut, Rayong, Thailand.

“We continue to see rising demand from our customers in the energy, chemical, fabrication and food & beverage sectors, and have therefore decided to invest in a new carbon dioxide production facility to ensure that Linde is well-placed to meet the increasing requirements of our customers and effectively support their growth and export competitiveness,” said Keerin Chutumstid, Managing Director, Linde Thailand.

“Our new carbon dioxide plant, which will have a capacity of 300 tonne per day (tpd) once it comes on stream in early 2014, will raise Linde Thailand’s total carbon dioxide production capacity to 1,200 tpd, reinforcing our position as a major carbon dioxide production hub for Linde in this region. It will also bolster our ability to support Linde’s customers beyond Thailand’s borders, across the wider ASEAN Economic Community (AEC),” added Chutumstid.
