Linde to invest €14.6 million in new ASU in Bangladesh

DHAKA, BANGLADESH: Linde Bangladesh Ltd (LBL) said it will invest €14.6 million in the country to set up an air separation unit (ASU) at Rupganj which will come into production by 2017.

The unit will produce approximately 100 tonne liquefied gases per day and will play a vital role in enhancing liquefied gases supply and related solutions to Bangladesh’s healthcare, food and beverage, fabrication, pharmaceutical, shipbuilding and ship recycling industries, the company said.

“The Rupganj plant will have more than double of the Linde’s current production capacity. This will be the largest of ASU in Bangladesh too,” said Moloy Banerjee, country cluster head, Linde Gases’ South Asian business.
