MUNICH, GERMANY: Linde Gases, a division of The Linde Group, said it will invest €15 million to construct on-site nitrogen and oxygen production plants for pulp and paper industries, CP Kelco and Metsa Fibre respectively, in Aanekoski, Finland.
Linde’s Ecovar Adsoss-N gas generation plant, at CP Kelco, which will be operational beginning early 2016, will separate nitrogen from air employing the adsorption-based pressure swing adsorption (PSA) process. A back-up system based on vapourization of liquid nitrogen will also be installed to guarantee continuous supply of nitrogen under all conditions.
Linde’s Adsoss-O oxygen plant for Metsa Fibre will reportedly be one of the world’s largest oxygen plants based on VPSA and will begin operations in the third quarter of 2017.
“Gases are an essential part of many production processes in this (pulp and paper) industry and these particular investments are an important focus for growth. The new bio product mill will create further opportunities for both our gases and gas technologies,” said Bo Dyrvold, head, Linde’s regional business unit, Northern Europe.
