LyondellBasell CEO appointed president of ICCA

HOUSTON, US/ LONDON, UK: LyondellBasell said that its CEO Bob Patel has been appointed president of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA). Patel will lead the board of the organization for a two-year term beginning on January 1, 2019.

The ICCA is recognized as a key stakeholder in various settings, including the United Nations, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the International Energy Agency.

Patel continues to serve as chairman of the ACC and on the boards of the Greater Houston Partnership and Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas.

"It's a tremendous honour to help lead our industry as we work towards creating a more sustainable future. Around the world and across our value chains, our member companies are working together to advocate for ambitious and attainable sustainability goals and encourage the next generation of technological advancements in our industry," Patel said.
