RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) said its subsidiary Ma’aden Phosphate Co (MPC) will shutdown ammonia plant operations in Ma’aden complex, Ras Al Khair city to carry out heat exchanger technical repairs, estimated to last for 14 days starting from 21 Aug.
Ammonia from the plant is used in manufacturing diammonium phosphate (DAP), which will be produced continuously using the ammonia inventory. The shutdown will have no significant financial impact, the company said.
MPC is a limited liability company co-owned by Ma’aden (70 percent) and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) (30 percent).
