DARMSTADT, GERMANY/SHANGHAI, CHINA: Merck Chemicals China opened Pigments & Cosmetics Technology Application Network China (TANC) in Shanghai. The TANC was established to better meet the growing needs of Chinese customers in the pigments and cosmetics sectors.
After the current expansion, the TANC will be able to offer colour proposals based on powder-coating technology as well as SPF (sun protection factor) testing to customers in China. Through upgraded chromametres and microscopes, Merck will provide more accurate and comprehensive recommendations to customers on colour matching and analyses.
“The fast growing market in China gives Merck many opportunities for our pigments and cosmetics business. The opening of the expanded facility with improved infrastructure and new competencies to serve local customers is a strong response to growing demands and demonstrates Merck’s ongoing commitment to the China market,” said Dr Alasdair Jelfs, Managing Director, Merck Chemicals China.
