NOIDA, INDIA: Nuberg Engineering has been awarded engineering, procurement & construction management (EPCM) project from Emirates Chemical Factory (ECF) of Saif Al Khaili Group, a UAE-based conglomerate.
The $76 million project envisions to set-up a 150 TPD chlor alkali/caustic chlorine plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), Abu Dhabi, UAE, which will produce caustic soda and other chlorine derivatives such as chlorine, sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid.
The contract is a breakthrough project for Nuberg as it is the only India-based company spearheading the EPC Industry on global front for turnkey project engineering services and solutions; an industry which has gigantic potential and is capable of bringing another revolution as IT did to India. This is because, information technology and EPC are both skill-driven industries, the latter being highly ignored.
The awarded project will use the highly sought-after modern bipolar membrane cell technology due to its sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental considerations. Nuberg Engineering is the biggest EPC company in UAE for chlor alkali industry, it said.
“We are delighted to have Nuberg on board. Nuberg is the leading EPC Company for chlor alkali industry in UAE with a proven track record of executing projects worldwide. Nuberg will definitely add value to our endeavour with its excellent capabilities and quality services coupled with highly competitive costs,” said Louai Kasem, CEO, Emirates Chemical Factory (ECF).
“We are thankful to ECF for entrusting our turnkey project engineering capabilities and our EPC services and solutions for its chlor alkali plant. This contract reinforces our headship in UAE, an area where we have been associated with all players of chlor alkali industry and have delivered projects successfully,” said AK Tyagi, MD, Nuberg Engineering.
