PERSTORP, SWEDEN: Perstorp AB (part of Perstorp Group) said it has sold of its remaining part of shares in Polygiene AB to Pooly Holding AB, a divestment which allows it to focus on and expand its core specialty chemicals activities.
Polygiene AB was founded in 2006 as a separate company with Perstorp AB as its principal owner with approximately 30 percent ownership.
“The sale of Polygiene is a natural step in our strategy of focusing on growing our core technical platforms. The transaction provides Polygiene with an opportunity to develop their business and strong brand with a new owner who is focusing on the antibacterial and textile industries,” said Jan Secher, president and CEO, Perstorp.
Perstorp has seen extensive internal transformation with the primary objective to enable a stronger customer interface, in the last one year. The year 2015 is for delivery on all the committed change projects and an even increased focus on its core business within specialty chemicals.
“Perstorp has started a major transformation process. I’m very happy to see that people are onboard and I have confidence in the direction we are heading in, of which this transaction is also part,” said Secher.
