CINCINNATI, US: Pilot Chemical Company said that it has named Arkema executive, Michael Scott as president, as current president and CEO, Pam Butcher will move to a position on Pilot Chemical’s board of directors.

Scott most recently served as the regional president for acrylics and the general manager for organic peroxides at Arkema Inc in Houston, Texas, where he was instrumental in the acquisition of Dow Chemical’s acrylic monomer business. During his tenure at Arkema, Scott held positions in manufacturing, commercial development, marketing and strategic planning.

Scott will lead corporate operations from Pilot Chemical’s headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio and will oversee six locations and approximately 250 employees.

The announcement followed an extensive nationwide search conducted by Pilot’s senior leadership and board members. “We are confident that Mike’s extensive experience in manufacturing and strategic planning will further accelerate Pilot’s growth and success in the future,” said Paul Morrisroe, chairman, Pilot Chemical’s board of directors.

“Pilot has built its reputation on innovation, quality products and services and safety. I look forward to contributing to its future success and growth,” said Scott.
