PolyOne appoints current finance director as its new treasurer

CLEVELAND, US: PolyOne Corporation (POL) said that it has appointed James Sloan as vice president, treasurer. Sloan was most recently finance director for the designed structures and solutions business unit.

Sloan will now be responsible for all aspects of the company's capital structure, cash management, insurance and capital markets transactions, as well as leading the internal Financial Planning and Analysis function. He replaces Scott Leffler, who has accepted a chief financial officer (CFO) position with another company.

Since joining PolyOne in 2009, Sloan has contributed to the company's success and transformation while serving as assistant corporate controller, finance director for PolyOne Distribution.

Prior to joining PolyOne, Sloan held positions at Ernst & Young LLP, including senior manager of Assurance Services, and he later served as director of Accounting Operations at Aleris International.

"James has demonstrated the financial acumen, analysis and decision-making required to lead our Treasury function and collaborate internally and externally with our banks and other financial stakeholders," said Bradley Richardson, executive VP and chief financial officer.

"We are extremely pleased that James will now be contributing in this expanded role, and we thank Scott for all his past contributions and wish him continued success as he pursues his career goals as a CFO," added Richardson.
