CLEVELAND, US: PolyOne Corporation said it has appointed Michael Garratt as senior vice president and chief commercial officer and Donald Wiseman as senior vice president, president of performance products & solutions (PP&S).

In his new role, Garratt will be responsible for accelerating market-driven innovation, leading the company’s proprietary POL product development process, developing sales strategies and training, and driving the corporate marketing function to enable future growth. He replaces Michael Kahler, who has decided to retire.

Garratt joined PolyOne in 2013 as president of PP&S, after working at Marmon Utility as president and chief operating officer at Excel Polymers. He has also worked with The Dow Chemical Company and later DuPont Dow Elastomers, a global joint venture.

Wiseman joined PolyOne in 2015 as general manager of the company’s Geon business unit from Johns Manville, where he had P&L responsibility for its performance materials division. He has held leadership and general management positions at performance material companies such as at Cabot Microelectronics Corporation, Americhem, Michelman and Rohm & Haas.

“Garratt’s diverse global background – with a particular emphasis on innovation, sales and strategic marketing – make him uniquely qualified to deliver growth and success as PolyOne’s chief commercial officer,” said Robert Patterson, president and CEO, PolyOne Corporation. “Likewise, Wiseman has quickly demonstrated his ability to lead and deliver performance within PP&S, leveraging his proven management skills and experience in the materials space.”
