MONTERREY, MEXICO: Praxair Mexico, a subsidiary of Praxair Inc, has started up a new vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) plant to supply oxygen to Johnson Controls in Mexico.
The new plant - built, owned, and operated by Praxair - has a capacity of 140 tons per day of oxygen and was installed with modern, energy-efficient technology. Johnson Controls uses oxygen in a new facility built to recycle lead acid batteries.
“Praxair has been a key partner in the start up of this new project and of Johnson Controls’ new facility,” said Fernando Benitez, Plant Manager, Johnson Controls.
“We are pleased to add this world-class production facility to our portfolio of supply systems serving Johnson Controls in Mexico,” said Murilo B. Melo, President and General Director, Praxair Mexico.
