DANBURY, US: Praxair Inc has started a new air separation unit to supply industrial gases to ThyssenKrupp’s carbon and stainless steel processing facilities in Mobile, Alabama. The new air separation unit, with a capacity of 400 ton per day, will also generate liquefied industrial gases for the growing merchant customer base in the region.
“Praxair is providing a cost-effective and energy-efficient plant to support ThyssenKrupp’s investment in new steel capacity in the Southeastern US,” said Kevin Foti, Vice President, East Region, North American Industrial Gases business unit, Praxair.
ThyssenKrupp is an integrated materials and technology group present in more than 80 countries. In the 2009/2010 fiscal year they generated sales of more than € 42 billion ($ 60.7 billion).
