Quaker’s new board members; enhances steel, auto sector capability

CONSHOHOCKEN, US: Quaker Chemical Corporation said that Patricia Barron and Joseph Anderson Jr will retire upon completion of their current term as a director at Quaker’s annual meeting of shareholders in May, having reached mandatory board member retirement age, following 27 & 24 years of meritorious service on the board of directors respectively.

Fay West and William Osborne will be appointed to the Quaker board, effective February, the company said.

West is senior vice president and chief financial officer of SunCoke Energy Inc, while Osborne is senior vice president of global manufacturing and quality at Navistar International Corp having assumed this role in 2013, Quaker said.

“West’s extensive accounting and finance experience will be invaluable to Quaker given our leading position in serving the steel industry. Osborne’s vast international operating and management experience will be vital as we continue to grow and further enhance our portfolio of metalworking, coating and grease products and dedicated services for the automobile and industrial markets worldwide and makes him an ideal addition as we continue to grow Quaker’s presence globally,” said Michael Barry, chairman, CEO and president, Quaker.
