MUMBAI, INDIA: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), India’s largest private sector company, has taken a planned maintenance shutdown of one of its three paraxylene units at Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. The scheduled shut down period is approximately for a period of six weeks. The total capacity of paraxylene at Jamnagar is 1.8 million metric tonne per annum. This shut down will also be utilized to improve reliability and performance of the unit. The other two paraxylene units will continue to operate normally.
