TOKYO, JAPAN: Mitsui chemicals will sell its wholly owned subsidiary, Mitsui Chemicals Fabro, to Riken Technos on 1 October 2012. The divesture of Mitsui Chemicals Fabro to Riken Technos is in line with Mitsui chemicals’ fundamental strategy in 2011 mid-term business plan, which targets changing and consolidating the company’s product portfolio. Mitsui Chemicals will continue to strengthen its high performance functional films/sheets operations as one of five priority businesses redilient to changing economic conditions.
