SBT bags biofuel supply contract in Andhra Pradesh, India

HYDERABAD, INDIA: Southern Online Bio Technologies Ltd (SBT) said that it has received orders to supply biodiesel in Andhra Pradesh, India and construct a biodiesel plant at Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. The company has received an order for supplying biodiesel (B-100) towards annual requirement for 10 percent blend from Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) for its 78 depots.

In addition, SBT has received a letter of acceptance from Indian Railways Organisation for Alternate Fuels (IRAOF), ministry of railways, for execution of balance work of setting up automated 30 tonne per day (TPD) biodiesel plant on turnkey basis at Raipur (Chhattisgarh) along with subsequent operation, maintenance and supply of biodiesel to Indian Railways. SBT has already constructed a 30 TPD biodiesel plant for IROAF at Tondiarpet, Chennai.

Meanwhile, SBT announced that it has commenced commercial production at its biodiesel unit at Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), which was affected due to Hudhud cyclone in October 2014.
