Shaw renews and expands contract with Albemarle

BATON ROUGE, US: The Shaw Group Inc has renewed a contract with Albemarle Corporation to provide maintenance, engineering, construction, reliability, operations and other labour services at Albemarle’s specialty chemicals manufacturing locations in Arkansas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas. Shaw also will provide services to Albemarle’s Michigan plant starting in May 2011.

Shaw’s history of executing plant services at Albemarle sites extends back 11 years. In 2008, Shaw’s contract expanded to plant engineering, construction and other services to assist Albemarle in improving production while reducing operating costs.

“Albemarle is a valued client that demonstrates the same levels of excellence and commitment to quality and safety as Shaw,” said Ron McCall, President, Plant Services Division, Shaw’s. The undisclosed value of each three-year contract will be included in Shaw’s Plant Services segment’s backlog of unfilled orders in the third quarter of fiscal year 2011.
