TOKYO, JAPAN: Showa Denko KK (SDK) said it has appointed Azelis to market SDK’s cosmetic raw materials in Europe, effective 1 April.
The exclusive distributorship agreement enables Azelis to market SDK’s vitamin derivatives (APM, APPRÉCIER, TPNa), a slimming agent (Hi-Carnitine) and hair care products (DL-Cysteine, SPIERA) in Europe.
“We are excited about the opportunities these high quality ingredients offer to our personal care partners and look forward to working closely with SDK to introduce and establish a strong presence in the European market,” said Tony Craske, market segment director, personal care, Azelis.
“We expect that sale of our cosmetic raw materials in Europe will significantly increase, taking advantage of Azelis’ sales network in European countries, expertise and know-how about development of formulas that meet European consumers’ needs,” said Toshitaka Hiro, general manager, specialty chemicals department, Showa Denko.
Under its ongoing medium-term consolidated business plan “Project 2020+” SDK aims to expand its individualized businesses by accelerating development of overseas market. SDK will further improve its sales network for cosmetic raw materials, thereby meeting customers’ expectations at home and abroad.
