Sika appoints current regional manager as new CEO

BAAR, SWITZERLAND: Sika AG has appointed Paul Schuler, currently regional manager Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA), as the company’s new chief executive officer (CEO) as of 1 July 2017. He succeeds Jan Jenisch who has accepted to become the new CEO at LafargeHolcim, a manufacturer of building materials.

Paul Schuler has been with Sika for 29 years and has been a member of the group management since 2007. He served as regional manager North America from 2007 to 2012 and as regional manager EMEA from 2013 until now.

Jan Jenisch has been with Sika for more than 20 years and has been the CEO for the past five-and-a-half years. Under his leadership, Sika has seen significant profitable growth and an accelerated expansion into new markets, with a build-up of supply chains and new national subsidiaries.

“I am delighted that the Board has appointed Paul Schuler as our new CEO. His competent and energetic leadership style will ensure the continuation of Sika’s growth strategy. I look forward to working together with him and in achieving our strategic targets 2020. And I would like to thank Jan Jenisch for his outstanding leadership and accomplishments over the past 20 years,” said Paul Halg, chairman of the board, Sika.
