ULSAN, SOUTH KOREA: Songwon Industrial Co Ltd launched a new range of stabiliser solutions for the coatings industry, to meet the rising demand in this sector.

The new antioxidants (AOs), UV Absorbers (UVAs) and hindered amine light stabiliser (HALS) efficiently protect coatings against the harmful effects of light and heat in wood substrates for furniture, flooring, also in applications such as automotive, transport, decorative, architectural and various others.

The new portfolio includes:

  • SONGNOX CS the company’s varied portfolio of AOs which ranges from key phenolic AOs to secondary thioethers and phosphites. These have been created to prevent thermal degradation in several manufacturing conditions including high-temperature processing, curing and stoving.
  • UVA portfolio SONGSORB CS is a comprehensive range of UV stabilisers that make it possible for customers to fulfil all of their requirements. The UVA portfolio spans from the traditional benzophenones (SONGSORB CS 81) to the benzotriazoles – known for their extensive utilisation scope (SONGSORB CS 1130, SONGSORB CS 928) and also includes the most recent, high performing triazine UV absorbers (SONGSORB CS 1577).
  • HALS portfolio of SONGSORB CS provides customers with a broad range of HALS products that help them to protect their coatings from surface defects or damage from exposure to light. The range includes liquid all-rounder products (SONGSORB CS 292), solid products (SONGSORB CS 622, SONGSORB CS 770), as well as low basicity products (SONGSORB CS 5100). In order to support customers with powder coating applications, the company has developed special HALS features with triboelectric charging properties (SONGSORB CS 144, SONGSORB CS 111).
