HOLZMINDEN, GERMANY: Symrise AG said it has opened its cosmetic ingredients production plant, significantly increasing capacity. The company has invested €15 million to build the plant and plans further facilities in Germany and the US.
The investment also lays the foundation for further projects in Germany and the US. Producing various cosmetic ingredients, the plant has enhanced its production flexibility and accommodates operation of additional production processes. This strengthens the backward integration of key raw materials. In addition, output and product quality have been improved thanks to cutting-edge and efficient production processes, the company said.
By processing various cosmetic ingredients in the new plant, Symrise strengthens its position as a solution provider for cosmetics. “Opening a production plant for cosmetic ingredients strengthens our development and production of innovative ingredients for producers of cosmetics and care products,” said Dr Gabriele Vielhaber, senior vice president & global head actives, botanicals and product protection, cosmetic ingredients division, Symrise.
