Tata Chemicals inks advisory services pact with Nigerian company


MUMBAI, INDIA: Tata Chemicals has executed a technical advisory services agreement with Nigeria-based Notore Chemicals Industries for providing technical advisory services for improving efficiency of Notore fertilizer plant at Onne in River State of Nigeria.

Notore is in the business of manufacturing urea and owns a KBR ammonia plant and a stamicarbon urea plant of 1000 Te/1550 capacity. Tata Chemicals will send its experts to Notore to help them improve systems and processes resulting in the efficiencies of area of operations and maintenance.

At present, there is no investment involved and Tata Chemicals fees are linked to improvement in the output from the plant performance. Currently, Tata Chemicals’ urea plant in Babrala, Uttar Pradesh is most energy efficient fertilizer plant in country.
