Technip awarded contract for methionine plant in China


PARIS, FRANCE: Technip has been given a contract by Bluestar Adisseo Nanjing Company Limited a detailed engineering, procurement and project management services contract for a methionine plant in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. The plant, which will be the first integrated liquid methionine unit in China, will have a production capacity of 140 kilo ton per year.


Technip’s operating centre in Shanghai, China will execute the contract, of which mechanical completion is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2012. This award follows the successful execution by Technip of the basic engineering design and the process design package.
