Technip bags Statoil Norwegian Continental Shelf contract

PARIS, FRANCE: Technip was awarded a contract to fabricate and supply flexible risers for several fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf by Statoil. The contract also includes options for further risers and flowlines. These flexible pipes will be used to renew the flexible pipe based infrastructure on Statoil’s operated fields. Technip’s operating centre in Oslo, Norway, will execute this contract. The completion is scheduled for 2014-2016 and operations to start in 2017.

“With this contract, Statoil has renewed its trust in Technip to deliver high-quality flexible products using the latest developments in high-technology materials,” said Odd Stromsnes, Managing Director, Technip Norway.
