BANDIRMA, TURKEY: Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (BAGFAS), a company based in Bandirma, Turkey, awarded ThyssenKrupp Uhde a contract to supply a plant for the production of calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) fertiliser in 2012. The contract is worth an approximate total of €141 million. Commissioning is scheduled for early 2015.

The new complex will comprise a nitric acid plant with a capacity of 1,195 tonne per day. This plant contract impressively underlines our capability and competitiveness in the field of nitrate fertiliser plants,” said Alfred Hoffmann, Member of the Executive Board, ThyssenKrupp Uhde.
