VANTAA, FINLAND: Tikkurila Oyj has decided to start a group-wide program aiming at more flexible organization and cost structure in order to secure the competitiveness in an uncertain and quickly changing market environment. According to the plan, the roles of different production facilities will be reconsidered and reorganized where applicable. As part of the planned program, Tikkurila will start cooperation negotiations in Finland. The negotiations will affect all personnel groups and functions of Tikkurila Oyj. According to the Company's preliminary estimation, the reduction need is approximately 100 employees at the most. Tikkurila has all in all some 3,700 employees, of which about 750 work in Finland. The measures to improve efficiency and facilitate structural change will be initiated in all Tikkurila locations and business units during the next few months starting from November 2011.
