TOKYO, JAPAN: Taiyo Vinyl Corporation, subsidiary of Tosoh Group, will increase the annual polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production capacity at its Chiba plant (Japan) by 10,000 metric tonne. New production facilities for the expanded capacity will be completed in October 2014. The Chiba plant is a vital supply hub for Taiyo Vinyl. It ships PVC to over 50 per cent of the subsidiary’s customers located in the Kanto region of Japan, which includes Tokyo.

Taiyo Vinyl and its parent company, Tosoh Corporation, look forward to utilizing the capacity increase to serve in particular the enormous need for PVC in support of the ongoing recovery effort in the region of Japan destroyed by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
