MOSCOW, RUSSIA/ANTONINA, BRAZIL: Uralkali, world’s largest potash producer, has acquired 25 per cent in Equiplan Participacoes SA, which is the main shareholder in Terminais Portuarios da Ponta do Felix SA port terminal in the city of Antonina, Brazil.

“We place significant emphasis on enhancing our logistical infrastructure in order to ensure long-term sustainability of shipments to the key markets. Brazil is traditionally one of the most active users of potash fertilisers, which are necessary for growing soybeans and other crops. The location of the city of Antonina enables its port facilities to supply the fast-growing regions of the country in the most efficient manner. This investment will enable us to make another step towards expanding operations in Latin America,” said Oleg Petrov, Sales and Marketing Director, Uralkali.
