Valence Group increases expertise; hires three chemical consultants

Anton Ticktin, Samuel Aofolaju and Jane Smith will be joining The Valence Group effective April 1, 2011.

NEW YORK, US: Anton, Samuel and Jane are moving to Valence from Nexant, a leading chemicals consulting firm, where they have focussed for many years exclusively on M&A and strategy for the chemicals industries. Their skill set adds a new dimension that is complementary to Valence’s existing M&A advisory practice. Much of their experience in the chemicals and materials industry is involved in M&A-related assignments for both industrial and financial buyers and sellers.

Their due diligence and strategic consulting experience has included the in-depth analysis  and evaluation of competitive, commercial, technical and strategic positioning; benchmarking and cost curve comparisons; strategic fit and related synergy assessment; sector and market appraisals on both global and regional bases; supply/demand forecasting; organic and external growth opportunities; post-acquisition integration; asset and human resource rationalisation; and analysis of competing buyers and their respective bidding potential. Whilst Valence’s exclusive focus on M&A advice within the chemicals and materials sector will remain unchanged, the firm’s advisory clients will benefit from an even broader and truly holistic approach to transactions.
