Wacker to increase VAE dispersions prices in the Americas

MUNICH, GERMANY: Wacker Polymers, a division of Wacker Chemie AG said that it is to increase its prices for vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer (VAE) dispersions of the VINNAPAS brand in the Americas region.

Dispersions of the VINNAPAS brand are applied in a broad variety of industries, ranging from adhesives, caulks, nonwovens, paints and coatings to paper, carpet and textiles.

As customer contracts allow, effective November 1, 2016, prices will be increased by up to 15 percent. This amount has been required by the important market price raise for vinyl acetate monomer (VAM), which is a primary raw material for the manufacturing of WACKER’s VAE dispersions.

The price change enables Wacker Polymers to continue providing clients with a wide-range of innovative quality goods and complete technical, sales and customer support services.
