Caustic soda tank car

Caustic soda tank cars are USG I/C tank car with capacity of 16,500 Gallons and is lined and designed for the transportation of caustic soda. It is equipped with a 20-inch 8-bolt man way, a 165 psi pressure relief valve, and a top fittings arrangement consisting of 1- and 2-inch valves, a thermowell, and a vacuum relief valve to accommodate closed system loading and unloading. The bottom outlet is a 4-inch steam jacketed ball valve. The car is fitted with an 8-line exterior steam heater coil system and 4-inch thermal insulation. Optional steam or electrical heating systems are available as well as enhanced insulation configurations.
