Beloit College

Beloit College was founded in 1846. It is a private liberal arts college in Beloit, Wisconsin. The Department of Chemistry is certified by the American Chemical Society and students may choose a regular chemistry major, a biochemistry major, an applied major in chemistry combined with another discipline, a biological chemistry major, or a chemistry major to certify the student to the American Chemical Society. The biochemistry major is designed to allow as much flexibility as possible in course selection so that students can tailor the program to meet a variety of career goals. As a biochemistry major, students are considered to be part of both the biology and chemistry departments, and they receive the same individual attention that faculty give to their majors.
