The Campinas State University was founded in 1966. It is a public university located in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Its main campus is located in the Barao Geraldo district of Campinas, with additional campuses in Limeira and Piracicaba. The Campinas State University is considered a young institution and one that has already developed a strong tradition in research and services to society. The university offers undergraudate and postgraduate programs in various study area. Unicamp consists of 24 teaching and research units, which are divided into ten institutes and 14 colleges.
