Catholic University of Cordoba was founded in 1956. It was the first private Jesuit University located in Argentina. The university offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses in various study areas. At its inception the University consisted of four faculties and 3 schools, one being the School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry. In 1967, the same happens to the status of Faculty of Chemistry, dictate where, until now, undergraduate courses of Pharmacy and Biochemistry and which afterwards was inserted Degree in Food Technology which is closely related to the above from the analytical, nutritional and qualitative disciplinary areas. Currently, the academic offerings of the School of Chemical Sciences includes undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, diploma and training courses for professionals. The academic unit provides technical and analytical services through the Central Laboratory , Laboratory of Fine Chemicals and Farmalab (pharmaceutical company).
